What is Evolution?

Gnome Evolution is the personal information manager for Gnome. Its original author is Ximian and that is why it is used to be known as Ximian evolution. It was developed by The Gnome Project and its initial release was on 10th May 2000 with the stable release coming on 3rd December 2021. It is written in C (GTK) for Unix-like operating systems and uses 53 languages. This platform makes your organization, storage, and retrieval easy. It can work with one or several computers that are connected through a network to organize email, calendar, calendar, and task lists. Its email is encrypted with GPG and S/MIME and you can retrieve it using POP and IMAP protocols. Your network connection is safe because it is encrypted with SSL, TLS, and email filters. It has connectivity with multiple servers, supports calendar, address book, contact management, news client, and RSS reader plug-in. It has automated spam filtering that you can use to avoid malware and spam messages. You can also import files from Microsoft Outlook and synchronize them with SynEvolution. In short, you can manage your work and organize it with all these features from one place with ease. Anyone can use this platform to organize their network but you should have a Gnome network to use evolution. Usually, big organizations and businesses use it to get organized.
